This film by young Slovenian director Marko Nabersnik tells the story of Djuro. Djuro is a dreamy young man living in a small town, who works as an apprentice in the garage of Gaja, his boss. His life is changed when Bronja arrives in town, and he starts having an affair with her. She in turn is vaguely involved with local pimp Lepec, which makes the whole thing rather dangerous, and - as was to be expected - Lepec finds out about the two of them. Meanwhile Gaja, the boss, does everything he can to meet his favorite-ever pop-star Severina, who is due to do a show in town. "Rooster's Breakfast" is a fast-moving and eccentric story about the highways and byways of love. En passant it ironically de-masks Slovenian suburbia and reveals it for what it is - full of secret passion and wild longing behind the facade.
