European film – is there really such a thing? When you talk about European film, you’re talking about Danes and Greeks, Italians, Frenchmen and Bulgarians. Every country has its own stars and its own blockbusters that never get seen beyond their own borders.

With Picture Europe!, European Film Promotion is now for the second time, after the launch of the programme in 2007, sending the best of these European films together on a tour through Europe. Audiences in Munich, Copenhagen and Madrid will have the opportunity to see what’s showing in the neighbouring countries – with no strings attached. And what’s more, directors and actors will accompany the films. So look forward to a week full of new ideas, talent waiting to be discovered and unique moments in the cinema.
